A Day in The Life:

The Monster Energy Global Logistics Internship Program provides students with a structured learning opportunity to gain exposure to the full scope of international supply chain operations supporting Monster Energy’s global business. Interns will rotate through key areas of the Global Logistics organization—including Raw Materials (ingredients), Finished Goods (energy drinks in aluminum cans), and Point of Sale merchandise (Premiums, Apparel, and promotional items)—while also learning the fundamentals of Global Trade & Customs Compliance. Through this rotational experience, interns will observe how products move through the global supply chain from vendor onboarding and regulatory compliance to international transportation and final delivery into global markets.

Throughout the program, interns will shadow Global Logistics Managers responsible for specific areas of the supply chain and participate in discussions involving vendor onboarding, trade regulations, Incoterms, country of origin determination, freight procurement, and global distribution strategies. The internship is designed as a hands-on educational experience, allowing interns to observe real-world logistics operations and industry best practices while being mentored by senior leadership. Interns will meet weekly with Sr. Director of Global Logistics, to review progress and discuss supply chain concepts, culminating in a final report and presentation to executive leadership outlining key insights, industry best practices observed, and potential areas of opportunity within the global supply chain.

The Impact You'll Make:

  • Observe and assist Global Logistics Managers in coordinating international shipments of raw materials, finished goods, and promotional merchandise to global destinations.
  • Participate in discussions with internal departments and external partners to understand vendor onboarding, regulatory requirements, and global trade compliance procedures.
  • Learn how Incoterms, country of origin, and harmonized tariff classifications impact global trade and customs duties.
  • Shadow team members as they coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers to support international shipments.
  • Observe how logistics teams procure freight bids, evaluate transportation options, and schedule ocean, air, and courier shipments.
  • Assist in maintaining and reviewing global shipping logs, shipment tracking tools, and logistics dashboards used to monitor delivery performance.
  • Gain exposure to the preparation and review of international shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.
  • Participate in meetings related to supply chain planning, logistics execution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support the team in gathering data used to analyze freight costs, transit times, and supply chain performance metrics.
  • Prepare a final internship report and presentation summarizing key lessons learned, industry best practices observed, and potential areas of opportunity within the global supply chain.

Who You Are:

  • Provide 5-8 requirements for this role.
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in global supply chain operations, international logistics, and trade compliance.
  • Ability to analyze information and think critically when observing logistics processes and global trade requirements.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to participate effectively in team discussions and meetings.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for documentation, reporting, and presentations.
