The finite nature of fossil fuels is increasingly forcing a rethink in energy policy. Intensive use of biogenic residues can replace fossil fuels. The use of biomass in energy-intensive processes (process heat supply) in particular poses major challenges for many operators. To drive development forward, it is essential to develop new technologies and further optimize existing processes. Various plants with different performance ranges are available at the Fraunhofer UMSICHT Institute in Sulzbach-Rosenberg for testing new technologies in the field of biomass energy utilization. We offer challenging tasks with responsibility and creative freedom, as well as an innovative research environment with close ties to industry.

• Preparation, monitoring, and maintenance of technical equipment

What you contribute

• Degree in process engineering, chemical engineering, technical chemistry, applied chemistry, environmental technology, energy technology, materials science, or a comparable field of study
• Independent working style, strong communication skills, and confident use of MS Office applications
• High degree of initiative
• Proof of a valid Class B driver's license in Germany
• German language skills B1

The weekly working time is 39 hours. This position is also available on a part-time basis.
