Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated, hardworking intern who is eager to learn about Malaysia Basin. You will be working closely with our team to conduct basin evaluation in Sarawak Basin which cover various skillset namely: regional seismic mapping, well analysis and gravity and magnetic analysis.

  • Assist in conducting basin evaluation studies for the Sarawak Basin.
  • Learn and apply regional seismic mapping techniques.
  • Conduct well analysis and interpret data.
  • Perform gravity and magnetic analysis, understanding the geological implications.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure accurate and efficient data collection and interpretation.
  • Prepare and present findings and reports as required.
  • Gain exposure to industry-standard software and tools used in basin evaluation.
  • Attend team meetings and contribute to discussions.
  • Maintain organized records and documentation of the evaluation process.
  • Provide support and assistance to senior geologists and engineers as needed.
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Geophysics, or a related field.
  • Strong academic background with a passion for exploration and basin evaluation.
  • Basic knowledge of seismic interpretation and well logging is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis software is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently.
  • Attention to detail and a meticulous approach to data handling.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
  • Interest in pursuing a career in the oil and gas industry.
  • Must be eligible to work in Malaysia for the duration of the internship.
