Job Description

As an intern in the Industrial Hygiene Section, you will be an integral part of our Health, Safety, and Environment team. Your primary focus will be to assist in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. This role offers a unique chance to learn and grow within a supportive and professional setting, gaining valuable insights into industrial hygiene practices.

  • Assist in conducting workplace inspections and identifying potential hazards.
  • Help develop and implement control measures to mitigate identified risks.
  • Support the team in conducting air sampling and analyzing results.
  • Assist with the management of safety data sheets and chemical inventories.
  • Contribute to the development of safety training programs and materials.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in the investigation of accidents and incidents, and provide recommendations for prevention.
  • Support the maintenance and calibration of safety equipment and instruments.
  • Help prepare reports and documentation related to industrial hygiene activities.
  • Engage in continuous learning and stay updated on the latest industrial hygiene practices and trends.
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Occupational Health, Safety, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in industrial hygiene and a passion for creating safe work environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in data collection and analysis.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite and data analysis tools is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges and responsibilities.
  • A proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • A positive attitude and a desire to contribute to a safe and healthy workplace.
