Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and analytical intern to join our team as the Crisis & Incident Management Intern. In this role, you will assist the team in the development and implementation of crisis and incident management plans, ensuring the safety and continuity of our operations. Your involvement will be crucial in organising Crisis & Incident Management events, tracking and monitoring action items using digital tools, record keeping, and analyzing trends to ensure effective intervention and identifying improvement plans.

  • Lead the Crisis & Incident Management team, providing strategic direction and oversight.
  • Develop and update the yearly plan for crisis and incident management, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Design and execute crisis and incident management programs, including drills, exercises, and training sessions.
  • Utilize digital tools like IMS to efficiently track, monitor, and follow up on action items related to crisis and incident management.
  • Analyze trends and patterns in incidents, drills, and exercises, identifying areas for improvement and best practices.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into incidents, ensuring a root-cause analysis approach.
  • Provide assurance and guidance to relevant stakeholders, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate crisis and incident management strategies into overall business continuity plans.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, continuously improving our emergency response capabilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Emergency Management, Business Continuity, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in crisis and incident management, with a proven track record of leadership and strategic planning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in using digital tools and software for incident management and tracking.
  • Certifications in emergency management or business continuity planning are preferred.
  • Experience in the petrochemical industry or a similar high-risk environment is an advantage.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make critical decisions during emergency situations.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to evolving emergency response strategies.
