Your new responsibilities

  • Support in the field test of an optimization algorithm for Building Energy Management on a real building. We contribute to the energy transition by aligning the operation of hot water tanks and batteries with the grid needs. To this end, we exploit PV excess and variable tariffs. Our approach is Rule-based MPC.
  • Analysis of the potential for improvement
  • Further development of the optimizer using an existing simulation environment

Your talents and experiences

  • You are currently enrolled at a Swiss university or university of applied sciences (or are taking a break between studies) in the field of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, MIBS, or MEST
  • Good knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink
  • Reliable, independent way of working
  • Good command of German and/or English
  • Start date by agreement for a minimum of six months
