Job Description

At Titan Electric, our interns work with our project managers and superintendents—inside the office and out in the field. You’ll be learning how commercial electrical projects actually get planned, built, tracked, and delivered.

If you’re curious, organized, and want real exposure to how construction projects run from start to finish, keep reading.

The basics

  • Program length: 10–12 weeks (summer)
  • Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week
  • Location: On-site at Titan Electric offices and active project sites
  • Track: Assistant Project Manager (APM)

You’ll be paired with experienced project managers and superintendents and supported every step of the way.

What you’ll actually do here

You won’t be guessing what “project management” means—you’ll be doing it.

During this internship, you’ll help support real commercial electrical projects by:

  • Assisting project managers with budgets, cost tracking, and field timesheets
  • Sitting in on and documenting project kickoffs and coordination meetings
  • Learning how RFIs, submittals, and change orders really work
  • Tracking material закупments, vendor follow-ups, and delivery schedules
  • Spending time on active jobsites to observe progress and field operations
  • Comparing real work in place to drawings, specs, and schedules
  • Using tools like Excel, Word, Bluebeam, and PDF markup software
  • Keeping project documentation organized and up to date

By the end of the summer, you’ll understand the full project lifecycle—from pre‑construction planning through execution and close‑out.

How the internship is structured

You’ll learn in phases, not all at once:

  • Early weeks: Orientation, safety, drawings, and learning how projects are set up
  • Middle weeks: Budgeting basics, scheduling, productivity tracking, and procurement
  • Later weeks: Field experience, vendor/client communication, and deeper project coordination
  • Final week: A capstone presentation where you’ll share what you learned with Titan leadership

This isn’t busywork—it’s intentional exposure.

What we’re looking for

You don’t need years of experience. You do need the right mindset.

This role could be a great fit if you are:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • Organized and comfortable juggling multiple tasks
  • Curious about how things work—and willing to ask questions
  • Able to read or learn how to read construction drawings and blueprints
  • Comfortable using (or learning) Excel, Word, and Bluebeam
  • Interested in commercial electrical construction and project management
  • Respectful of jobsite environments, safety rules, and experienced tradespeople

What you’ll gain from this

By the end of the summer, you’ll walk away with:

  • Real, hands‑on experience in commercial electrical construction
  • Exposure to both office coordination and field operations
  • Mentorship from experienced project managers and superintendents
  • A clearer understanding of whether project management is the right path for you
  • Networking with professionals across Titan Electric
  • The opportunity to be considered for full‑time employment after graduation

A quick note before you apply

We’re not looking for “perfect.”
We’re looking for curious, reliable, coachable people who want to learn

If that sounds like you—even if you don’t check every single box—we’d like to hear from you.

Apply and let’s talk.
