Context :

The lighting industry plays a crucial role in modern society, encompassing a wide range of applications from residential and commercial spaces to industrial and public infrastructure. Lighting solutions are essential for enhancing visibility and safety and have evolved significantly with advancements in technology.

Indeed, with a semiconductor market in constant evolution, new technologies arise which enables further improvements in term of power consumption, compacity or cost which represent high revenue opportunity for TI.

Your goal during this internship will be to design from scratch an innovative Emergency Lighting solution using TI newest technology. In the end, your will showcase it to our customers in order to highlight TI technological differentiation and what it can bring to our customers.

The project will be exploiting several key technologies:

• Low-power MCU with high analog integration used as an Analog Front-End (amplifying and filtering)
• LED driver
• Battery charger
• AC/DC
• DALI interface
• Isolation

The internship mission consists of 4 main tasks:

• Designing the schematic and the PCB of the system
• Developing the SW for the main MCU and the MCU used as an AFE
• Testing and measuring
• Presenting to the customer

The team you will join:

In this role you´ll be part of a team of Field Application Engineers and account managers based in Issy-Les-Moulineaux who are working with key industrial & automotive customers to generate revenue growth. This is achieved by working closely with our costumer, identifying early projects and working closely with the R&D to solve their engineering design challenges at the right cost.

Profile:

• Enrolled in Electrical engineering, Computer engineering or similar
• Previous experience in C programming
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently as a team member
• Strong communication & ability to present
• Minimum B2 in English
• Previous experience in PCB design in a plus

Support the field sales and field application engineer to visit customers and solve their design challenges

If successful during your internship it may lead to you being hired as a graduate Field Applications Engineer or Technical Sales Representative in 2026.
