Job Purpose

Performs multiple tasks on an assigned team, project, or functional area. Tasks will typically include operations of seed equipment, planting, and seed scouting. Must pass all job-specific or specialized certification programs required for core tasks or specialized assignments. May participate in programs or functional team projects developing process improvement methods, solutions, and procedures to enhance program quality, cost, and scheduling. Job Description (Accountability)

1. Participate in hatchery operations and activities, including water system, plankton production, nursery operations and laboratory activities.
2. Monitor and maintain water quality and assist in proper data recording and documentation.
3. Assist in plankton preparation and production, including plankton quality evaluation and control.
4. Support nursery operations, including nursery preparation, nauplius stocking, feeding, water quality management, culturing and harvesting activities.
5. Assist in fry quality assessment and quality control activities, including water quality testing, microbiology and PCR analysis.
6. Follow established procedures and practices related to safety, sanitation and biosecurity throughout hatchery operations.
7. Support stocking and production planning activities.
8. Participate in hatchery tours, training activities, evaluation and final presentation.
9. Perform other tasks and activities assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
