Job Description

As part of the Global Data Governance team, this role has the unique opportunity to shape the future of data products and data valuation at Liebherr. The goal will be to support the development of the data product foundation and build a standardized and scalable data value framework – focusing on identifying, evaluating, and maximizing the business impact of data-driven use cases across divisions.

We are looking for a graduate student (or soon-to-graduate) who is interested in learning on the job and contributing to the fascinating topic of data product & value management. This is a temporary engagement with a duration of 12 months.

Responsibilities:

Global Data Governance

  • Explore the role of data governance within the Liebherr Group, i.e., goals, scope, responsibilities, operating model, communities etc.
  • Align the activities around data product & value management with Liebherr’s global data strategy

Data Products

  • Learn about data products, what it means and how it fits into Liebherr
  • Support the creation and implementation of the global data product framework
  • Co-facilitate and contribute to the cross-divisional expert group on data products
  • Support the onboarding & piloting of the data product concept within divisions
  • Move from concept to reality, i.e., train stakeholders to build and manage data products
  • Assist in documentation and communication activities

Data Value

  • Identify and estimate business impact of data-driven use cases
  • Support the application and optimization of the data value approach
  • Contribute to the standardization of templates, metrics, and valuation logic
  • Automate the use-case documentation and valuation process
  • Develop dashboards and reports for value tracking
  • Scale the valuation approach across the entire company

Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and structured thinking skills
  • Proactiveness and diligence in problem-solving
  • Impeccable communication and storytelling abilities
  • Advanced Excel skills (modelling, calculations)
  • Fluency in English, French or German would be an asset.
  • Experience with Power BI and Databricks or similar tools is a plus
  • Experience with prompting and building AI agents is a plus
  • Prior understanding of master data management, SAP MDG or practical experience with data & analytics governance topics would be an asset
  • Hands‑on mentality with a strong willingness to learn and explore new topics
  • Enjoys collaborating in an international environment
