In our Group Components team, we are developing a completely new heating and cooling system that has the potential to revolutionize today’s climate control solutions. Since this technology is still in an early stage of development, your ideas and commitment are essential—right at the intersection of research and practical application. You will work on exciting projects in collaboration with start-ups, universities, and within the framework of innovative funding programs. Become part of this dynamic environment and actively shape the future of vehicle climate control! Optionally, we offer you the opportunity to complete a thesis in this field following your internship.

Possible tasks within this Role


  • Supporting our research team

  • Conducting literature reviews

  • Performing experiments on elastocaloric materials (e.g., hysteresis measurement or temperature profile analysis)

  • Planning, executing, and evaluating a prototype of an elastocaloric heat pump

  • Developing optimization measures (simulation-based or design-related)

Qualification requirements


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s students (with at least 89 credit points) in natural sciences, engineering, or related fields

  • Good to excellent academic performance

  • Experience with test benches

  • Experience with thermodynamic systems is a plus

  • Solution-oriented and creative working style, as well as enjoyment of teamwork
