We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated person, who have positive attitude, good communication skills and talent to learn about software development, testing, digital technologies and technology in general. With us, you would become part of Kosice, Slovakia based team, working with international teams in agile environment, responsible for full cycle software development of digital platforms for Solar Turbines and Caterpillar.

What will be your tasks?

As an Intern – Automation Tester you will learn how to become strong QA test automation engineer. You will need to possess analytical, communication and time management skills and willingness to learn. You will become part of the team responsible for functional and non-functional testing of Solar Turbines’ applications. You will learn how to develop functional test cases and scripts to automate and optimize testing of applications like analytic tools for customers, contract management or turbine data computation and processing tools.
You will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing of the requirement and design specifications
  • Test Plan preparation for several functional and non-functional areas with clear scope, objectives, deliverables, and risks
  • Development of functional and non-functional test cases (scripts) using various test automation frameworks with focus on one programming language
  • Tracking and reporting of quantitative and qualitative testing metrics
  • Ensuring testing is carried out in a timely, repeatable, and effective manner
  • Defect logging and reporting

  • Knowledge of any programming or scripting language (e.g. Typescript/Javascript or Python)

Top candidates will also have:

  • Understanding of web technologies
  • Understanding of Agile methodology
  • Some experience with technologies & frameworks (Cypress, MochaJS, Playwrite, HTML & CSS, REST API, etc.)
  • Ability to query database (SQL)
  • Understanding version control or continues integration concept
  • Manual or automation test scripting techniques
  • Passion for technology and an eagerness to contribute to a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to adapt quickly to a complex environment
  • Pro-active thinking - being flexible and creative
  • Self-motivated mentality - individual with passion in latest technology trends.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with other team members.

Please note that salary is only one component of the total compensation and benefit package available at Caterpillar.

This position requires working onsite five days a week.Visa Sponsorship is not available for this position.
