To support this ambition, our Renewables O&M team is looking for an AI-focused intern to help bring artificial intelligence into everyday operational use across our wind (and broader RES) portfolio.

Your Mission

As an AI intern, you will play a key role in identifying, developing, and implementing practical AI use cases within the RES O&M team and control center.

Your objective is not limited to one predefined topic. Instead, you will:

  • Build upon existing AI initiatives, and/or
  • Explore and develop new use cases that can bring tangible value to daily operations

This includes turning AI from concept into practical tools used by engineers, asset managers, and the control center

Your Profile

  • You are pursuing a Master’s degree in Engineering, Data Science, AI, IT, Physics, or a related field
  • The internship must be part of your curriculum your educational institution offers the contract.
  • You have a proven interest in energy and industrial environments and applying AI and data to real operational challenges
  • Basic knowledge of: Data analysis / programming (e.g. Python, SQL, etc.), AI / ML or GenAI tools (practical experience is a plus) is a must.
  • You are curious, proactive, and solution-oriented and able to translate complex ideas into practical applications
  • You have strong communication skills (important for adoption and training): you have professional level of English and speak either Dutch or French.
  • You are mobile and able to reach our ENGIE site in Brussels (ENGIE Towers): Simon Bolivarlaan 34, 1000 Brussels.
  • Available from September 2026 for at least 6 months, i deally combined with a master thesis
