Location: Paris La Défense (France) – 3 months
As an intern at Melexis, you will bridge the gap between Microelectronics and modern Artificial Intelligence, joining our Digital Competence Center (DCC) in Paris La Défense to bring agentic GenAI into live automotive SoC development. Using state-of-the-art AI tools (Claude Code, Antigravity), you will find where AI genuinely helps a digital design team — from documentation and design reviews to RTL, verification and internal tooling — then build, benchmark and deploy the workflows that prove their worth.
Map where AI pays off in our daily work — survey DCC tasks across documentation, presentations, design reviews, RTL, verification and internal software, and build a prioritized shortlist of use cases scored on value vs. effort. This shortlist drives the rest of the internship.
Assist design and verification tasks — apply AI tools to documentation and presentation drafting, RTL review, lint/sim log triage and root-causing, waiver justification, SystemVerilog Assertion drafting, and internal Python/TCL tooling.
Package, benchmark and transfer — turn the successful cases into reusable AI "skills" and agents the whole team can run, measure them against the current manual way of working, and document prompting, setup and usage guidelines so adoption outlives the internship.
A deployed library of reusable AI skills and agentic workflows covering the highest-value cases (documentation and presentation drafting, RTL and log analysis, scripting support), ready for the team to use.
Quantified benchmarks on a few representative tasks: time spent with and without AI assistance, plus a quality assessment of the output.
A practical adoption guide — prompting, tool-usage best practices and integration rules.
Master 1 or Master 2 in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Microelectronics, or a related field.
Solid understanding of RTL design and simulation (Verilog / SystemVerilog).
Strong passion for Generative AI applications, with practical scripting experience using AI models (e.g., Claude, Gemini).
Excellent communication skills and curiosity to work closely with digital design engineers to turn hardware challenges into practical AI solutions.
Joining Melexis for your internship is the opportunity to build up your know-how in a high-tech, international and
dynamic company, benefit from the experience and training of our experts and enjoy the welcoming and friendly
atmosphere of our Paris office team which is specialized in Digital Design and counts 20 employees.
