VSTEP builds professional simulators used to train ship crews, emergency responders, and other specialists in the maritime world. Our 3D team creates the visual environments that make those simulations feel real, detailed, accurate, and immersive.

During your internship as 3D Artist, you'll work as a real member of that team, and you will learn from our experts.

What you'll do

• Build 3D models of environments like bridges, buildings, and landmarks, and sometimes vehicles and vessels
• Work from reference photos and technical drawings to make your models as realistic as possible
• Import and set up your finished work in our 3D engine (Unigine)
• Hand off models to teammates who integrate them into full simulation environments

Is this you?

You are:

• A student in a relevant creative or technical program, think 3D design, game art, animation, or similar.
• Looking for an internship position or graduation project as part of you education or studies.
• Proactive, accurate and attentive to details. Pride in the work you create.
• Comfortable working in a international organization culture.
• A believer in autonomy and personal accountability. 
• Encouraged to lead your way and be responsible for making an impact.

You must be:

• Enrolled in a relevant study.
• Located in the Netherlands (Rotterdam area).

You also:

• Have hands-on experience with working with 3DS Max, Maya or Blender.
• Can share a portfolio of your own work (anything counts - school projects are fine)
