Position: Insurance Intern – Claims Unit
Department: Group Risk Management (Insurance / Claims)
Location: Level 54, Tower 1, PETRONAS Twin Towers
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Insurance Claims Unit in claims administration and documentation management.
Support basic claim analysis, including review of loss details, timelines, and supporting documents under supervision.
Assist the team to maintain and monitor claim collections and related payment status post‑discharge voucher signing, including payments received by PETRONAS for onward disbursement to OPUs.
Assist in claim performance evaluation for loss adjusters, including tracking timelines and deliverables.
Assist to capture, update, and maintain claims data (e.g. myInsurance), including utilisation and status updates.
Prepare simple claim summaries, tables, and status reports (e.g. ageing, payment status, outstanding actions).
Attend meetings and take meeting minutes, including action items and follow‑up tracking.
Support coordination with internal stakeholders and external parties (e.g. brokers, insurers, loss adjusters), as assigned.
Assist with ad‑hoc tasks, projects, or events, including those outside the immediate claims scope, as directed by the supervisor.
