What You Can Expect

As our Retail Operations Analyst Intern, you will support the Cash Application & Broker Commissions teams in processing and reconciling payments, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions, and assisting with reporting. This role provides valuable hands-on experience in financial operations and exposure to cash application processes within a fast-paced environment. This internship opportunity is based in Houston, TX, and spans three months, from September 2026 to December 2026. You will report to the Commissions and Cash App, Director

• Apply incoming payments to customer accounts and invoices accurately
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in payments or customer accounts
• Assist in reconciling daily bank transactions and identifying exceptions
• Collaborate with the accounting team to improve cash application efficiency
• Work with unclaimed property team to ensure items are properly distributed and accounted for
• Support the month-end closing process by preparing• relevant documentation
• Communicate with customers or internal teams regarding payment issues when necessary

What You’ll Bring

• You are at least a Sophomore Undergraduate Student and is currently working toward a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration
• You are mathematically inclined and demonstrate strong quantitative reasoning
• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• You have strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and are goal oriented
• You have the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities and assignments in a timely manner with a high degree of accuracy
• You are self-motivated and able to work independently without assistance from your supervisor
• You have proficiency with standard office software packages

Additional Details

• This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy with a minimum of three (3) days working in office if you are based in Houston, TX
• Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

Compensation

Hourly Range: $21.00 - $34.00 USD hourly

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
