Job Description

Kickstart Your Career in Analytics – International Talent Programme

Are you a recent graduate or early-career professional with a passion for data and insights? Join our 18-month International Talent Programme (ITP) in Analytics and accelerate your growth into a future expert or leader in the field.

You’ll work alongside experienced analytics professionals, gain hands-on experience in strategic projects, and deepen your understanding of the financial services sector.

Choose Your Path – Explore Our Analytics Domains

The International Talent Programme (ITP) in Analytics consists of three rotations, each lasting six months. Throughout the 18-month programme, you’ll explore different areas of data-driven banking and build a strong foundation for your future career in Analytics.

Our Analytics track offers exposure to a wide range of domains, such as:

  • Customer Intelligence & Personalisation
  • Risk & Financial Crime Analytics
  • Data Management, Technology & Innovation

During your rotations, you’ll contribute to impactful projects that support ING’s ambition to lead in data-driven financial services. Whether you’re working on pricing strategies, fraud detection, or developing new data products, you’ll be part of a team using machine learning and advanced analytics to make banking smarter and more transparent.

Many trainees also choose to do a short-term assignment abroad (e.g. Amsterdam, Spain), adding international experience to their journey. After completing the programme, you’ll transition into a permanent role tailored to your interests.

Each path is designed to help you grow into a future expert or leader in Analytics. Along the way, you’ll receive tailored training, mentorship, and the opportunity to earn certifications that support your development.

What You’ll Bring – Core Competencies

No matter your specialisation, we’re looking for Analytics trainees who demonstrate:

  • Data savviness You hold a master’s degree with a strong mathematical foundation—such as in Computer Science, Statistics, Econometrics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering, or a related technical discipline. You’re passionate about data and eager to continuously learn and grow.
  • Tech & AI fluency You have hands-on experience building models using quantitative techniques and programming languages like Python, R, Scala, C++, Java, or SAS/Matlab. You’re familiar with machine learning, data validation, and visualisation tools, and comfortable working with open-source software.
  • Project & Process Management You understand the economic landscape and banking industry, and you’ve gained international or extracurricular experience that shows your ability to manage tasks, adapt quickly, and bring structure to complex challenges.
  • Communication & influence You’re fluent in English, a creative and curious team player, and able to strike a balance between working independently and contributing to team success. You engage confidently with others and are motivated to improve both your technical and interpersonal skills.

We welcome candidates with up to two years of professional experience.

What We Offer – Your Growth Starts Here

We offer you a competitive base salary for this starter position, along with paid annual leave, a comprehensive training package, and a permanent contract from day one. As part of the International Talent Programme (ITP), you’ll gain exposure to strategic work across multiple domains, helping you build a strong foundation for your future career.

Throughout the programme, you’ll be part of a vibrant international trainee community, participating in global learning events that cover core banking topics. These events also help you develop essential soft skills like stakeholder management, business partnering, and presentation techniques.

In addition to these global events, we offer a wide range of training opportunities tailored to your personal development needs. These include sessions focused on leadership, personal growth, and professional certifications such as CFA. You’ll decide which trainings best support your goals, in consultation with your manager.

Above all, we provide an open and inclusive environment where your ideas are welcomed and valued. Our culture embraces innovation, inclusion, and continuous improvement, all aimed at making banking simpler and more transparent for our customers.

Ready to turn data into impact? Apply now and start your journey with ITP Analytics.

Please note that the results will remain definite for a future application for one of our traineeships. This means that you cannot apply again after not passing either our assessment or interview stage.
