The International Trade and investment practice based in Brussels is seeking a dynamic and committed Trainee to join our team for a six months period As a Trainee in the international Trade team, you will assist in the preparation of legal advice on a wide range of EU and international trade matters including economic sanctions and export controls, trade defence, customs and trade policy issues.

You will practice as part of one of the world's largest trade practices, praised by clients for ‘having a strong team of well-connected professionals who are proactive and forward-thinking” (Chambers Europe, 2025) and having a team “with deep knowledge, skill and connections to key regulators and policymakers” (Chambers Global, 2025). What are we looking for?

• Excellent academic credentials with a postgraduate degree in EU law.

• You are a qualified lawyer or in the process of obtaining your qualification.

• Experience in another law firm and in the International Trade sector is appreciated.

• Fluent in both written and spoken English.

• Curious by nature, problem solver with strong business acumen.

• An international outlook, a multi-cultural mindset.

• Resilient, attentive to detail and focused on delivering high quality and professional results.
