We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Tax Manager to lead our global Transfer Pricing function and support our international tax compliance and reporting. In this critical role, you will manage the end-to-end transfer pricing process—from documentation and planning to partnering with operational leaders on global structuring. Additionally, you will play a key role in our quarterly and annual tax provisions and manage complex international compliance requirements, including Forms 5471, CbC reporting, and navigating emerging BEPS regulations.

Location and Schedule: This position is based at our beautifully renovated headquarters in downtown Milwaukee, right along the Riverwalk, across from the Grand Ave. We offer secure paid underground parking, an onsite fitness center with a personal trainer, and direct access to over two miles of skywalks connecting you to restaurants, coffee shops, and other downtown amenities. Our hybrid schedule includes working onsite Monday through Thursday, with remote work on Fridays.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Transfer Pricing (Core Focus)
    • Process Ownership: Manage and execute the company's global transfer pricing lifecycle, ensuring policies are applied accurately across all intercompany transactions.
    • Documentation & Compliance: Oversee the preparation and timely filing of all transfer pricing documentation, including Master Files, Local Files, and benchmarking studies, partnering with external advisors as needed.
    • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and external advisors to align transfer pricing strategies with business expansions, supply chain modifications, and corporate restructuring.
    • Policy Monitoring: Continuously evaluate the company’s intercompany pricing policies against evolving business models and global regulatory changes.
    • Audit Defense: Lead the defense of transfer pricing policies and international tax positions during IRS and foreign tax authority audits.
  • International Tax & Compliance
    • US International Reporting: Assist in the preparation and review of international US tax compliance forms, with a heavy emphasis on Forms 5471, 8858, and 1118.
    • Global Tax Readiness: Assist with monitoring the company’s global revenue thresholds and its impact against international tax requirements, including Country-by-Country (CbC) reporting and Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) filing obligations
  • Tax Provision & Accounting (ASC 740)
    • Quarterly & Annual Provision: Assist the core tax team with the preparation of quarterly and annual global tax provisions (ASC 740).
    • International Provision Elements: Review of international tax provision items, including Subpart F, GILTI, FDII, and BEAT.

Education and Experience

Required

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive tax experience in a public accounting firm (Big 4 preferred) and/or a multinational corporate tax department, with exposure to international tax and transfer pricing concepts.
  • Transfer Pricing Exposure: Working knowledge of US (IRC Section 482) and OECD transfer pricing concepts, methodologies, and documentation requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Acumen: Proven ability to communicate complex tax and economic concepts to non-tax operational and finance leaders.
  • Project Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple overlapping deadlines across different global jurisdictions.
  • Learning Agility: Demonstrated willingness to learn new technical areas, ask thoughtful questions, analyze complex facts, and apply sound judgement when guidance is not immediately clear.

Preferred

  • Certifications: CPA license, Enrolled Agent (EA), or an advanced degree (Master’s in Taxation, JD, or Economics)
  • Systems: Working knowledge of various reporting systems (e.g., Oracle, OneStream) and tax technology solutions (e.g., OneSource Tax, Longview

Physical Demands

Employee may have to lift documents/work materials up to 30 pounds in weight. Employee will have to be able to walk/climb to a variety of primary work locations, including traveling by air/auto and potentially remote sites. Position may require travel up to 25% of time depending on assigned projects. Employee will need to listen, understand, and speak with team members in person, telephonically, and electronically at all levels within a diverse workforce and with supported organizations. Employee is able to work in front of a personal computer for extended periods of time.

Work Environment

Primary work environment is in a temperature-controlled office setting but may also be visiting different manufacturing facilities where following appropriate safety protocols at the location would be required.
