
Qualifications:
At least a Bachelor’s degree on communications, journalism or a related field. At least 8 years in the design of communications and behavior change campaigns, preferably with prior experience in the Solomon Islands.
The Social Development and Gender Specialist (International) will be responsible for the following tasks:
• Provide input into the design of social surveys and FGDs
• Provide input into the design of community-based solid waste schemes, and community
tourism plan to ensure sufficient focus on women and vulnerable groups
• Ensure that public awareness and behavior change campaigns are sufficiently targeted women and other vulnerable groups
• Participate in the Inception Meeting
• Collect, review, and analyze relevant data
• Conduct site visits and stakeholder engagement
• Support finalization of survey tools and fieldwork planning
• Conduct household surveys
• Provide input into stakeholder mapping
• Undertake analysis of situation assessment and needs prioritization
• Co-design stakeholder workshop
• Provide input into technical and financial screening of options
• Support alignment and integration with engineering, safeguards, and ADB due diligence requirements
