HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

Reporting to the International Controlling Distribution Director, in Cartier’s Finance team, this role will contribute to the overall Finance function by managing financial performance for specific Regions.

As the business link between the Cartier markets (Managing director, local financial controller) and the International Finance Direction, you will both challenge their performance to ensure alignment to Cartier’s strategy as well as support them in realizing their financial objectives.

You will also be managing one of the transversal P&L line items, such as Capex or Opex across the Maison.

Regional Controlling

  • Guide and challenge regional long-term financial planning (“Financial Dynamics”) and support the strategic business plan.
  • Ensure optimal working capital and resource allocation in line with Maison strategy; highlight risks and opportunities (e.g., boutique investments).
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and support regional management in driving operational efficiency.

Financial Planning, Performance Reporting & Analysis

  • Support the coordination of regional budgeting and monthly forecasting processes according to HQ and Group guidelines.
  • Analyze monthly results for multiple subsidiaries (costs, DSO, Capex, headcount, margins, and discounts).
  • Monitor and report on consolidated operating expenses (monthly follow-up, budgeting, and ad-hoc analysis).
  • Lead the development and optimization of management reporting tools.
  • Conduct regional performance analyses (e.g., commission schemes, profitability).

Transversal Projects

  • Partner with business stakeholders to design and execute solutions for complex business challenges.

Other Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on preparing and participating in major finance presentations (Executive Committee, Monthly Updates, Budget meetings).
  • Support and champion a strong internal control culture within the Maison.
  • Ensure active compliance with company policies, procedures, and IAS standards.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR

  • You have a Master’s Degree in Finance with 5 to 8 years of experience in a multi-cultural, matrixed environment (ideally within FMCG or a multinational Audit firm).
  • Proven track record of managing, budgeting, and reporting against a full, sizeable P&L and Balance Sheet.
  • Solid understanding of Management Accounting under IFRS, and the connection between reporting, accounting, and financial controls.
  • Excellent analytical and synthesis skills with the ability to evaluate consolidated international data (from manufacturing to distribution).
  • Outstanding communication skills to build close relationships with regional management; fluent English is required, and French is a plus.
  • Proactive mindset with a strong ability to anticipate business issues and propose strategic solutions.
  • Highly proficient in financial query and BI tools such as SAP (SEM & BW), Anaplan, PowerBI, or Looker.
