Job Role

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing end-to-end sourcing and supplier management activities to support frozen food production and export operations. The role focuses on identifying and developing qualified suppliers, negotiating pricing and contracts, ensuring consistent product quality, and maintaining supply stability across multiple international markets.

The successful candidate will play a key role in optimizing procurement costs, improving supplier performance, and ensuring uninterrupted production supply. This position requires strong market awareness, supplier negotiation capability, and experience in food-related or commodity procurement environments.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Identify, source, and develop new suppliers for raw materials and food production inputs.
• 
  Evaluate and qualify suppliers by assessing production capability, quality standards, pricing structure, and delivery performance.
• 
  Conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality management systems and operational requirements.
• 
  Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms with suppliers to achieve cost optimization.
• 
  Monitor market trends, raw material price fluctuations, and supply risks to support procurement decision-making.
• 
  Develop and execute procurement plans, ensuring timely ordering and delivery coordination.
• 
  Manage supplier relationships and coordinate closely with internal departments such as production, logistics, and quality assurance.
• 
  Ensure stable and continuous supply of raw materials to support production and export demand.
• 
  Support supplier performance improvement initiatives through regular review and feedback cycles.
• 
  Participate in cross-border procurement coordination and support international sourcing activities.

Requirements

• 
  Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Food Technology, Agriculture, or related fields.
• 
  Minimum 3–7 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management.
• 
  Experience in frozen food, seafood, agricultural commodities, or food manufacturing industries is highly preferred.
• 
  Strong understanding of supplier evaluation, procurement processes, and cost negotiation strategies.
• 
  Experience in managing international suppliers and cross-border procurement operations is an advantage.
• 
  Ability to analyze market price trends and commodity supply fluctuations.
• 
  Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
• 
  Experience working in fast-paced, export-driven manufacturing environments.
• 
  Proficiency in English is required; additional language skills (local or Asian languages) are an advantage.
• 
  Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and supplier control capability.
