This is a unique opportunity for you to JP Morgan as an UHNW Lending Advisor for SEA Market where you will provide strategic approach, tailored strategies and a holistic understanding of clients’ borrowing needs in the context of their overall portfolio. That's why we offer an extensive range of credit strategies to provide them with financing whenever they need it—whether for short- or longer-term liquidity, new acquisitions or investment opportunities We seek a high caliber candidate to join our team.

As a Senior Lending Advisor for SEA market, you will serve as an expert on credit who provides flexibility for our most complex clients’ tailored banking and credit solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Develop creative, innovative solutions to new client financings or restructurings within acceptable credit/risk parameters.
  2. Drive business development and revenue growth of loan book by:

    a) Leading the credit marketing effort for the local market teams

    b) Understanding the capital structure of existing clients and prospects and advising same

    c) Being attentive to identifying new business opportunities/asking for referrals

    d) Originate credit leads from existing clients and prospects and participate in new marketing initiatives

  3. Balance objectives of client, new business generation and risk management.
  4. Underwrite and execute both loan and derivative structures (with credit risk therein).
  5. Serve as primary contact on credit portfolio and/or key/complex borrowing relationships.
  6. Demonstrate credit/risk management discipline, monitor portfolio risk, change debt structure/risk ratings in response to changes in risk, and proactively work to improve portfolio quality and prevent loss.
  7. Work with Bankers on sophisticated credit needs for client penetration and cross selling.
  8. Support coordination of sales effort with Investors, Fiduciary Administrators and Wealth Advisors

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline.
  2. Minimum 10 years of experience in wealth management space, along with extensive exposure to credit, loan and deposit and derivative products is required.
  3. Experience and proven success with banking concepts including, but not limited to investment real estate loans, concentrated collateral loans, aircraft lending, commercial real estate and bridge loans
  4. Experience in structuring complex transactions, credit and derivatives transactions.
  5. Knowledge of account maintenance procedures, loan closing procedures, credit administration and compliance procedures.
  6. Demonstrated understanding of wealth management including, but not limited to: investing, trust and financial planning.
  7. High level of analytical skills, including financial analysis
  8. Ability to identify and analyze credit opportunities and the attendant credit risks
  9. Familiarity and expertise with credit documentation.
  10. Completion of formal credit training program.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  1. Sales experience including: profiling, overcoming objections, negotiation, team selling approach, closing the sale and asking for referrals
