The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a CER Product Owner for international patient classification methodologies, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. We are an international leader in designing and maintaining healthcare payment and value-based care systems. We support Chile, UAE (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Northern Emirates), Oman, Qatar directly with IR-DRGs and it is used by multiple other countries in Europe for as an advanced inpatient and outpatient payment care model. Solventum also works with numerous other countries on how they budget and pay for inpatient and outpatient care and incent high quality outcomes. This role would appeal to persons interested in playing a vital role in the equitable improvement of access to care, affordability of healthcare, patient safety, quality of care, value based care, pay for performance and population health globally and driving efficiency and value across the healthcare delivery system. Being part of a team that has more than 40 years of experience developing classification, grouping and reimbursement calculation systems globally for inpatient, outpatient and professional settings addressing patient safety, adverse event reduction, value-based care, pay for performanceand population health. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Leading, directing, prioritizing, and managing the design and development of Clinical and Economic Research international patient classification development including International Refined DRG grouping component and global mapping solutions, to advance effective and efficient international inpatient and outpatient payment and utilization solutions, adjoining our quality and value based care solutions in conjunction with IR-DRGs, and ensuring its meaningful integration into end user operations to drive efficiency and overall quality outcomes.

  • Guide business product owners driving international IR-DRG payment solutions across global markets and products ensuring that top line revenue goals are met or exceeded while operating in a matrix

  • Guide marketing and sales in understanding and communicating the value of the methodologies and enhancements to drive growth

  • Advance and enhance solution impact and usability in improving payment accuracy and measure efficiency and quality by users across payer, provider, government, business partner, and non-profit clients.

  • Lead high-performing cross functional team to deliver on-time in full error free regulatory compliant maintenance, modifications and enhancements for CER patient classification and global mapper solutions with a focus on IR-DRGs.

  • Champion Scrum principles throughout the organization and consistently implement all aspects of Scrum across the department scrum teams. Working directly with the team ensuring that deliverable commitments are defined, road mapped, prioritized and met with clinically precise and accurate specifications, documentation and integration into our product solution.

  • Collaborate with research team to develop approaches that combine the power of categorical models with big data to drive further refinement of our models enhancing our analytic abilities to express and summarize clinically relevant results of analyzing big data making results that much more understandable and actionable across the entire health system.

  • Champion Scrum principles throughout the organization and consistently implement aspects of Scrum across the department scrum teams.

  • Gaining a strong and broad understanding of the applicable healthcare landscape and patient payment classification solutions from a global perspective.

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited university and 7 years of experience in the health payer, software, services, industry in lieu of the bachelor’s degree education requirement

OR

  • High School Diploma/GED or higher from an accredited institution and a minimum of 11 years of experience in the health payer, software, services, industry

AND

In addition to the above requirements, the following is also required:

  • 4+ years product owner experience in healthcare software or healthcare services development life cycle experience

  • 4 years healthcare organization experience (e.g. government payer, provider, hospital, insurance company, health care consulting, software, research, services firm)

    Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Master's degree in business, healthcare related field, healthcare policy, health economics, clinical informatics, ie MBA, MPH, MPP

  • Strong project management skills and process and detailed oriented with innate ability to focus on details and manage complex multi-phase projects on time in full.

  • Strong knowledge of healthcare payment policy attained within the US or Internationally.

  • Expert storyteller with the ability to connect the dots between solution use cases and target markets, their needs and impact of our solutions in a unique and effective way.

  • Experience of working with and/or within health systems, health plans government/regulators, value-based care arrangements, pay for performance models, advanced payment models, quality outcome models

  • Strong collaborator with the ability to unite across development teams, marketing, sales, other business units with a passion for research keeping a strong pulse on the market and trends.

  • Highly motivated person that can execute work independently, well organized to ensure the achievement of overall business unit objectives.

  • History of strong presentation and writing skills on complex topics in a way that experts and non-experts will understand.

  • Evidence of thought leadership demonstrated through speaking engagements, interviews, blogs, articles

Applies to new hires with a start date of October 1st 2025 or later.Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $143,200 - $196,900, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
