Reporting to the Customer Support Supervisor, the International Operations Specialistprovides unscripted customer support for international orders of our chemical products and technical systems. This includes placing and tracking orders placed from both internal (sales representatives) and external customers directly over the phone and via email as well as ongoing account maintenance duties.

This position is part of the Corporate ServicesdepartmentlocatedinGlen Allen, VAand will beon-site.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • ​​Fulfill internal and external international customer needs through a high volume of complex electronic requests while simultaneously handling phone requests 

  • ​Create new accounts and accuratelysubmitcustomer orders (received via phone, email, customer PO) in the ERP system (Dynamics 365) 

  • ​Use critical thinking skills to assess inventory on hand during order placement and coordinate with sales team and Demand Planner on back orders/remote warehouse stocking 

  • ​Problemsolvedelivery issues and track status on orders via communication with carriers, manufacturing facilities, or suppliers 

  • ​Handle international returns andexpeditesfrom start to finish 

  • ​Read and decipher notes on accounts and order entry 

  • ​Follow the escalation procedure for outstanding tasks 

  • ​Record and problem solve errors (internal and external) for root cause and countermeasure 

  • ​Establish an understanding of compliant customer requirements and initiate export approval requests 

  • ​Support sales team to resolve complex situations 

  • ​Support other corporate services teams based on business needs​.

  • ​Understand and adapt tochange inprocesses and procedures.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • ​​​Associate's Degree,Bachelor's Degreepreferred

  • 3 years of equivalent job experience 

  • ​Spanish verbal and written skills a plus, but notrequired

  • ​Microsoft365  experience Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint (Intermediate Excel skills preferred) 

  • ​Dynamics 365 experience preferred

  • Constantly required to sit and occasionallyrequiredto walk, stand, climb (includes stairs), balance, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch or crawl, and talk, hear, and smell

  • Constantly using hands and fingers to handle, feel oroperateobjects, and computer keyboards.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $28.50 - $28.50 USD per hour.

We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
