  • Lead team management activities including daily workflow oversight, performance evaluations, and development planning.
  • Ensure all import/export processes comply with U.S., Canadian, and Mexican customs, trade, and transportation regulations.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Maintain accurate and audit ready documentation for all shipments.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, and logistics partners.
  • Assess operational risks and implement mitigation plans; support internal stakeholders with contingency planning.
  • Coordinate daily and monthly reporting to ensure fulfillment and customer escalations are handled promptly.
  • Manage vacation planning and holiday coverage to ensure uninterrupted business operations.
  • Support transition activities related to GBS implementation and the company’s evolving operating model.

About You

  • Degree in Business Administration or a related field
  • 5–7 years of experience in supply chain, freight forwarding, and/or import/export logistics
  • 5+ years of experience as a Team Leader
  • Conversational English level (B2+)
  • Strong knowledge of international transportation regulations and best practices, with specific familiarity in ocean freight
  • Proficiency in SAP, MS/Google Office Suite, and logistics tools (e.g., DHL platforms)
  • Understanding of compliance requirements for CBP, FDA, and CBSA within a food manufacturing environment
  • People centric leadership style with experience managing teams (including virtual teams)
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills
