
Barrière is seeking an International Human Resources Director.
As International HR Director, you will lead the deployment of our global people strategy across an expanding international footprint, which currently spans 12 locations and continues to grow. We are seeking a strategic yet operationally hands-on leader who knows how to maintain global alignment while remaining highly agile in local markets.
In this role, you will architect our international HR framework from the ground up, transitioning the function from a reactive model to a scalable, proactive operation. Partnering closely with the global HR teams, you will ensure our culture, talent programs, and compliance frameworks translate seamlessly across borders.
KEY RESPONSABILITIES
Strategic Leadership & Advisory
Strategic Alignment: translate and implement the global People Strategy across all international locations, ensuring close alignment location specific business objectives.
Trusted Advisory: serve as a strategic partner and advisor to business leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, leadership effectiveness, succession planning, and change management.
HR Team Leadership: mentor and guide local HR leaders to deliver high-quality support across the entire employee lifecycle and drive resolutions for complex operational matters.
Global Talent Strategy & Rewards Alignment
Total Rewards & Compensation: partner with the Global Compensation & Benefits Director and local leadership to design competitive, localized total rewards packages; provide executive input to shape the overarching reward philosophy.
Annual Cycles: co-lead and execute the annual salary review and compensation cycle seamlessly across all international entities.
Global Employer Branding: ensure the employer brand is effectively localized and leveraged to attract and retain top-tier talent across diverse markets.
Culture, Operations & Analytics
Culture & Inclusion: influence senior stakeholders to champion employee engagement, optimize the employee experience, and drive meaningful inclusion initiatives.
Process Optimization: continuous improvement of HR processes to drive operational efficiency and elevate the day-to-day employee experience.
Data-Driven Decision Making: leverage HR metrics, data, and workforce insights to guide strategic decisions and measure impact.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Ideally 15+ years of progressive HR Business Partner experience—with prior leadership experience in the luxury hospitality or luxury retail industry strongly preferred—and a proven track record of managing international HR teams across complex, multi-country labor environments.
Exceptional business partnering, communication, and facilitation skills, with a demonstrated ability to consult, challenge, and align senior executives within a fast-paced global matrix.
An adaptable, hands-on professional who comfortably balances high-level people strategy with detailed execution—possessing the capacity to "zoom out" to anticipate global implications and "dive in" to deliver results.
Extensive experience co-creating with transversal HR Centers of Excellence (including Talent and Rewards) and leveraging HR data analytics to generate strategic insights.
Fluency in English is required to operate across international markets; proficiency or fluency in French is considered a distinct advantage.
Annual salary between €110k and €125k base salary (depending on profile).
