The Opportunity

As the International Financial Controller, you will be the senior-most member of the Sitetracker International Finance team that is responsible for end-to-end ownership of accounting operations, statutory compliance, payroll coordination, and financial reporting across seven key international entities (UK, Spain, Germany, Luxembourg, Singapore, Australia, and India).

Reporting directly to the CFO, you won't just oversee timelines and responsibilities that are tethered to the current way of doing things—you will serve as a strategic leader redefining current processes that require modernization of manual repeatable workflows into streamlined and automated workflows that will subsequently allow the team to spend more time on providing insights to and driving tangible value for the business including optimizing foreign currency, transfer pricing, A/P management, and financial reporting, as well as scaling our global presence.

What You'll Do

You will lead the International Finance team responsible for end-to-end close and consolidation cycle across all seven international legal entities, driving a clean, sub-10-day accounting close that is free of material weaknesses or recurring gaps. Partnering closely with the CFO and US Controller, you will serve as a credible, trusted voice to local board members, external audit committees, and executive stakeholders while bridging international accounting standards with US GAAP consolidation.

Beyond monthly reporting, you will take complete ownership of regional compliance, steering our full slate of statutory audits, local tax filings (VAT/GST, Corporate Income Tax), payroll and transfer pricing arrangements across multiple jurisdictions. Ownership is defined as not simply taking over existing processes - the expectation is a full evaluation and subsequent modernization of our global accounting processes, with a key initial initiative focused on overhauling and re-tooling our current monthly close and Accounts Payable workflows into an automated, scalable procure-to-pay tech stack.

As an empowering people leader, you will directly manage and mentor a distributed team of 2 current direct reports in London and India, re-invigorating currently manual journal entry and reconciliation workflows while instilling a culture of continuous operational improvement. As Sitetracker continues to expand globally, you will act as the finance lead standing up new international legal entities, establishing local banking relationships, and embedding robust internal control environments from day one. You will be comfortable turning ambiguous situations, like a new market or an unclear local requirement, into a workable plan without waiting to be told exactly what to do.

You'll bring a documentation-first mindset to everything you own. That means turning recurring processes (close, payroll etc.) into clear, concise workflows and reporting that your team can execute without friction, and that leadership can review and sign off on quickly. With seven entities and multiple regulatory and payroll calendars running at once, exceptional organization isn't a nice-to-have. It's how you keep nothing from falling through the cracks.

The Skills You'll Have

Multi-entity, multi-currency accounting & statutory compliance & Expansion Support

• Hold a recognized professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or regional equivalent).
• Possess proven experience owning the month-end and quarter-end close process for 3+ legal entities across 2+ foreign currencies, managing complex US GAAP to IFRS/local GAAP reconciliations.
• Show experience designing or significantly improving consolidation frameworks, including foreign currency translation methodologies and elimination logic.
• Bring a proven capability to accelerate multi-entity close calendars while maintaining meticulous accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrate a track record of supporting new international entity registrations, standing up local banking, statutory setups, and foundational internal controls.

Multi-jurisdiction audit, tax, & internal controls management

• Demonstrate hands-on experience managing concurrent statutory audits and tax filings (VAT/GST, corporate income tax) across multiple jurisdictions, leading PBC list management and auditor relationships.
• Possess expertise designing, implementing, and maintaining robust internal control environments, approval matrices, and reconciliation standards across international subsidiaries.
• Show proven capability to align local statutory regulations with global financial policies and reporting schedules.
• Bring direct experience evaluating, executing, and managing cross-border transfer pricing arrangements and intercompany service agreements.
• Demonstrate a proactive ability to identify, mitigate, and resolve potential cross-border regulatory or compliance risks before they impact the business.

Payroll oversight, AP, vendor payment management & Tooling

• Possess hands-on experience overseeing multi-country payroll processes and AP/vendor payment workflows, ensuring absolute accuracy and swift resolution of discrepancies.
• Demonstrate high proficiency operating within NetSuite ERP for close and consolidation activities, backed by advanced Excel/Google Sheets financial modeling skills.
• Bring practical working experience leveraging close-management and financial automation tools (such as FloQast, Bill.com, or Concur) to maintain operational velocity.
• Show proven success leading multi-entity AP change management, including transitioning manual procure-to-pay processes into modern, automated AP platforms.
• Demonstrate a track record of evaluating and then implementing technology automation to significantly reduce accounting close cycles down to a sub-10-day schedule.

Foreign currency, intercompany & banking/cash management

• Demonstrate expertise in accounting for foreign currency transactions, FX revaluations/remeasurements, and complex intercompany eliminations.
• Possess direct experience managing intercompany journal entries and maintaining clean intercompany balance ledger reconciliations across multiple entities.
• Show experience coordinating international banking setup, payment approvals, and cash positioning across distributed multi-entity bank accounts.
• Bring experience advising on or structuring intercompany agreements and transfer pricing frameworks alongside legal and tax advisors.
• Demonstrate a history of strategically partnering with executive leadership to optimize global cash operations and manage multi-currency liquidity risks.

Organization, documentation & cross-border leadership

• Exceptionally well-organized, with a track record of calmly managing multiple regulatory, audit and payroll calendars at once without anything slipping.
• Documents repeatable workflows into concise playbooks and reporting built for easy review: clear status, exceptions surfaced, and supporting detail one click away.
• Builds well-formatted reports and datasets for ad hoc analysis that are detailed but concise, and that speed up decisions rather than create more work.
• Communicates proactively across time zones, using async updates, standing cadences and shared trackers to keep distributed finance, HR and legal partners aligned.
• Has directly managed and developed team members across geographies, and genuinely enjoys growing people.
