International Document Controller

Location: Flexible | 12-month Fixed Term | Starting July 2026

Do you love bringing structure, clarity, and consistency to complex information? Do you take pride in producing high-quality documents that support teams around the world? MAF is looking for an International Document Controller to help ensure our manuals, policies, and procedures meet the highest standards and support our life-saving aviation work globally.

Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) is an organisation using light aircraft to deliver help, hope and healing in Jesus’ name in developing countries. For more than 75 years, MAF has been transporting patients, relief workers, produce and medical supplies to the world’s remotest regions and places of deepest human need – places where flying is not a luxury but a lifeline.

Why join MAF?

  • Make a tangible impact globally by ensuring our teams have the information they need to save lives

  • Be part of a values-driven, supportive international team

  • Grow your professional expertise while contributing to a meaningful mission

**NOTE: Applicants must have the legal right to work in either Australia. Successful applicants will be subject to pre-employment background checks including a National Criminal History check. Responsibilities

What you’ll do

In this role, you’ll be at the heart of MAF’s document management system, producing, editing, and formatting controlled documents, including manuals, policies, and forms, using a range of specialist editing software.

You’ll manage the document change process, issue revisions, and maintain our intranet-based repositories to ensure teams have access to the latest, most accurate information.

You’ll also provide vital support to document controllers across the organisation—liaising with technical authors, helping new controllers get up to speed, and stepping in for locations without a dedicated controller. Quality control will be key: you’ll proofread, cross-reference, and check formats to ensure every document is precise and compliant.

Beyond documents, you’ll assist the QSS Services team with Jira ticketing, stakeholder meetings, training events, and other administrative tasks. You’ll also have opportunities to provide guidance, troubleshoot system issues, and help maintain global standards for MAF programmes.

Availability to attend weekly team meetings outside regualr office hours

Mission Aviation Fellowship

About Mission Aviation Fellowship

Mission Aviation Fellowship was founded in 1945 by a group of WWII pilots who had a vision for how aviation could be used to help spread the Gospel.

Since those early days, we have been an indispensable partner and servant to some 500 Christian organizations, humanitarian agencies, and more. We enable and maximize evangelism and church nurturing, medical assistance, disaster response, and community development, as well as the training and development of indigenous people.

Using aviation, we desire to see isolated people changed by the love of Christ by serving together to bring help, hope, and healing. We meet the physical and spiritual needs of isolated people in 42 countries throughout Asia, Africa, Eurasia and Latin America, operating a fleet of 47 light aircraft. Dedicated missionary families raise their own ministry support to serve as the hands and feet of Christ to those in need.
