& RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is part of POET Bioproducts – the POET business responsible for the marketing and logistics for our suite of distillers grains and distillers corn oil products. It Is our role at POET Bioproducts to market and transport, as efficiently as possible, our high-quality products from our bioprocessing facilities to our valued customers who happen to be located all over the globe. We use trucks, trains, barges, containers and ocean vessels to make this happen.

As an International Coordinator, it will be your role to be a key contributor in executing documentation for container shipments to International customers. You will work as part of a team to provide industry leading communication and execution. Sound intimidating? Don’t worry. This is an on-site role located in Sioux Falls, SD Responsibilities include:

  • Work with internal and external customers to optimize work processes.

  • Communication with shipping lines to develop best practices for accurate and timely export documentation.

  • Execute documentation processes for international shipments.

  • Resolve customer and logistic discrepancies when necessary.

  • Determine solutions and communicate effectively through challenging logistical situations.

  • Keep current on all pertinent regulations impacting Poet’s export processes.

  • Determine areas of opportunity to improve work processes never be satisfied with status quo.

  • Since we’re all about teamwork and getting the job done, your skill may be put to a lot of other uses!

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Up to 5% travel will be part of the norm for this position to visit vendors or attend conferences. At times, overnight travel may be required.

  • This position operates in an office environment, working at a personal computer where you may sit or stand. Most of our Sioux Falls office workspace consists of an open-concept design intended to promote open communication and collaboration.
