The Opportunity:

The International Admissions & Partner Relations Counselor serves as the primary point of contact for prospective international students, recruitment partners, educational agents, and pathway providers. This position is responsible for managing communications, responding to program and admissions inquiries, collecting and uploading student documents, preparing application files for review, and supporting international enrollment growth initiatives. The counselor works closely with the Center for Global Engagement, Admissions Operations, academic colleges, and recruitment partners to ensure a seamless admissions experience from inquiry through enrollment. The position requires exceptional customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a high volume of student and partner communications. The counselor will also provide general guidance regarding F-1 visa processes, I-20 documentation requirements, and international student onboarding.

What You’ll Be Doing Every Day:

Partner and Student Communication Management

  • Serve as the primary contact for prospective students, educational agents, and international recruitment partners.

  • Respond promptly to email inquiries regarding academic programs, admission requirements, scholarships, tuition and fees, housing, student services, and enrollment procedures.

  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information about Saint Leo University undergraduate, graduate, and low-residency programs.

  • Conduct proactive follow-up with students and partners regarding application status and missing documents.

  • Maintain high standards of customer service and responsiveness.

  • Support virtual recruitment events, webinars, and information sessions as needed.

Application and Document Management

  • Receive, review, organize, and upload applicant documents into university systems.

  • Verify application files for completeness and accuracy prior to admission review.

  • Track outstanding application requirements and communicate with students and partners to obtain missing documentation.

  • Prepare completed application files for review by admissions leadership.

  • Maintain accurate student records and detailed communication notes within CRM systems.

  • Ensure timely movement of applications through the admissions funnel.

Admissions Support

  • Review applications for completeness and eligibility based on published admission requirements.

  • Assist students in understanding admission policies, English proficiency requirements, transcript evaluations, and enrollment procedures.

  • Provide general guidance regarding F-1 visa requirements, visa interview preparation, I-20 documentation requirements, and pre-arrival processes.

  • Coordinate with the Center for Global Engagement and Designated School Officials (DSOs) regarding international student onboarding.

  • Support admitted students through next steps, including deposit, registration, and enrollment processes.

  • Collaborate with admissions leadership to ensure application processing goals are achieved.

  • Assist with enrollment conversion and yield initiatives.

Partner Relations and Recruitment Support

  • Serve as a liaison between Saint Leo University and international recruitment partners.

  • Provide partners with admissions guidance, application updates, and program information.

  • Support onboarding and training of new recruitment partners and agents.

  • Coordinate closely with the Center for Global Engagement regarding partner communications and recruitment initiatives.

  • Participate in partner meetings and assist with relationship management activities.

Collaboration and Compliance

  • Work collaboratively with Admissions, Registrar, Student Financial Services, Academic Colleges, and the Center for Global Engagement.

  • Ensure compliance with institutional admission policies and procedures.

  • Maintain confidentiality and safeguard student records.

  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

Data Management and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate application records and CRM data.

  • Monitor application pipelines and report on application progress.

  • Track communication activity, application completion rates, and enrollment outcomes.

  • Assist in generating admissions and recruitment reports as requested.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree from an accredited institution.

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in admissions, customer service, international education, student services, recruitment, or a related field.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.

  • Experience working with U.S. higher education institutions.

  • Experience with international admissions or international student recruitment.

  • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.

  • Experience working with educational agents and recruitment partners.

  • Knowledge of F-1 student visa processes, SEVIS requirements, I-20 issuance procedures, and international student onboarding.

  • Understanding of U.S. immigration regulations affecting international students.

  • Additional language proficiency is preferred.
