Under limited supervision, this employee will be responsible for supervising the daily operations of the Communications Center.
Job Duties Include:
A high school diploma and one (1) year of experience as a communications specialist.
NCIC certification in accordance with NCIC policy.
Managerial/supervisory experience preferred. Familiarity with CJIS/NCIC standards and policies. Excellent communication skills and clear speech preferred. Ability to use good personal judgment and discretion using a predetermined set of guidelines established by the Communications Coordinator. Experience using windows computer software applications. Ability to operate with limited supervision. Basic Telecommunications Officer Training or equivalent National Incident Management System 100, 200, 700, 800, 240.
This position operates in a 24 hours a day, 365 days a year work environment. Employee will have a flexible work schedule and should be available to work rotating shifts.
