This is a fantastic chance for a motivated and capable individual within our business to take the next step in their career. You will receive mentoring from the Operations Management team while gaining hands-on leadership experience managing macadamia orchards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute operational work plans on schedule, including land maintenance and development, chemical and nutrition programs, irrigation, and harvesting.
  • Monitor orchard operations, equipment, and practices, and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to your team.
  • Lead by example in environmental and Work Health & Safety (WHS) standards.
  • Manage day-to-day farming operations and team activities.
  • Collaborate with MFM’s wider support team across orchard management, finance, people management, and safety.

About You
You are a reliable, hands-on team member who is ready to grow into a leadership role. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate strong initiative, and are passionate about macadamia farming. You have the potential to be a progressive leader who cares about your team and wants to contribute to MFM’s success.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Extensive experience in large-scale farming operations, with strong exposure to irrigation/water management, nutrition, chemical programs, and machinery.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead or supervise teams, with a focus on productivity, team engagement and safety.
  • Experience developing and following operational plans to achieve strong results.
  • Solid understanding of Work Health & Safety practices.
  • High attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good computer skills, including farm management software and apps.

Through these practices, we have been able to restore several deteriorated orchards to ensure longevity and continued quality yields.
