Denver Health is seeking board-certified or board-eligible General Internal Medicine physician to join our expanding network of outpatient primary care clinics throughout the Denver metro area. If you’re looking to practice meaningful medicine in a mission-driven, academically affiliated health system, we want to hear from you.

  • Eastside Adult Medicine Clinic
  • Westside Adult Medical Clinic
  • Sloan’s Lake Family Practice
  • La Casa, Montbello, Westwood, Lowry, and Pena Family Practices
  • Primary Care at Webb Center for Health & Aging
  • Intensive Outpatient Medical Clinic (IOP)
  • EIS HIV Clinic
  • Pena Southwest Urgent Care



Essential Functions

  • Analyze records, reports, test results, or examination information to diagnose medical condition of patient. (10%)
  • Treat internal disorders, such as hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, or problems of the lung, brain, kidney, or gastrointestinal tract. (10%)
  • Prescribe or administer medication, therapy, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury. (10%)
  • Manage and treat common health problems, such as infections, influenza or pneumonia, as well as serious, chronic, and complex illnesses, in adolescents, adults, and the elderly. (10%)
  • Provide and manage long-term, comprehensive medical care, including diagnosis and nonsurgical treatment of diseases, for adult patients in an office or hospital. (10%)
  • Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients. (10%)
  • Advise patients and community members concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention. (10%)
  • Make diagnoses when different illnesses occur together or in situations where the diagnosis may be obscure. (10%)
  • Refer patient to medical specialist or other practitioner when necessary. (10%)
  • Collect medical history, monitor patients' conditions and progress, provide consulting services to other providers as needed, and advise other providers of patient's risk status. (10%)


Education

  • Doctorate Degree Graduate of an accredited medical school Required

  • MD-Physician - State Medical Board Required
