Internal Communications
We are looking for a curious, proactive, and creative Internal Communications Strategist to help elevate how our employees connect to our strategy, our culture, and each other. What You’ll Be Doing as an Internal Communications Strategist
- Support the development and execution of internal communication plans aligned to business priorities and enterprise initiatives.
- Work as a consultative partner to functions such as HR, Operations, IT, Engineering, and others to understand their objectives and translate them into clear, impactful communication.
- Write and edit a wide range of content including company-wide emails, intranet articles, leadership messages, video scripts, talking points, FAQs, event content, and digital signage.
- Help manage Bell’s internal communication channels, ensuring content is timely, relevant, and accessible.
- Contribute to the integrated communications calendar and help maintain rhythm-of-business messaging.
- Support enterprise events such as town halls, employee activations, leadership meetings, and engagement activities.
- Use metrics and feedback to measure impact and recommend improvements.
- Anticipate communication needs and proactively recommend solutions, not just react to incoming requests.
- Support crisis or incident communications with clarity, accuracy, and speed when needed.
- Champion Bell’s values and culture, ensuring everything we share connects people to our mission, strategy, and each other.
Qualifications
Skills You Bring to this Role
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, English, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, marketing, journalism, or related roles.
- Experience supporting technical or engineering audiences or in aviation/defense is preferred.
- Excellent writing and editing skills with a passion for clarity, storytelling, and translating complex topics into simple, engaging messages.
- A proactive mindset in which you notice the communication need before someone asks.
- Ability to think both tactically and strategically, moving quickly between drafting content and contributing to big-picture planning.
- Curiosity and business acumen in which you want to understand how the business works so you can tell the story well.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort working cross-functionally, building relationships, and adapting to different communication styles.
- A desire to continuously improve processes, channels, and team rituals.
