The Internal Communications Manager is responsible for developing, executing, and managing internal communication strategies that keep employees and partners informed, engaged, and aligned with company priorities. This leadership role will define strategy, innovation, and best practices for internal messaging, change communications, Executive Communications, and cross-functional collaboration to strengthen employee and partner experience and engagement.

Core Job Duties

  • Develop and implement the internal communication strategy that supports company announcements, organizational changes, Executive Comms, and leadership initiatives.
  • Utilize AI scale, innovation, and AI tools best practices to increase comms impact, deliver on Comms KPIs, and ensure consistent messaging across internal channels, email, social, intranet, and internal events.
  • Partner with HR, Leadership, and cross-functional teams to align internal communications with business goals and company culture.
  • Draft and edit executive and leadership communications, including company-wide announcements and talking points.
  • Manage internal communication projects, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with brand standards.
  • Support change management communications for organizational, process, or system changes.
  • Measure the effectiveness of internal communications and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain and evolve internal communication channels and calendars to keep employees informed and engaged.

Interaction

Supervision

Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel (Team Lead).

Experience

Typically requires a minimum of 6 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 4 years and a Master's degree; or equivalent experience.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, or marketing preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or related roles.
  • Engagement with the latest AI tools for Comms, reporting, and editorial scale.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Strong project management abilities with experience managing multiple priorities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and communicate with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.
  • Experience supporting change management or organizational communications is preferred.

Physical Demands

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.

Yes, up to 15% domestic travel may be required
