The Opportunity
In this role, you’ll partner closely with senior leaders to shape clear, authentic messaging and bring our strategy to life for colleagues. You’ll play a key role in helping employees understand where we’re going, why it matters, and the role they play in delivering it.
You’ll join a high-performing Internal Communications team that sits at the center of the business, supporting executive visibility, major initiatives, and the day-to-day rhythm of how we communicate and connect across Aviva Canada.
What you’ll do
Partner with senior leaders to develop clear, authentic messaging aligned to Aviva Canada’s strategy, priorities, and performance
Develop and deliver integrated internal communications strategies that drive colleague understanding and engagement
Support the communication of business performance and key initiatives in a way that is simple, relevant, and easy to understand
Lead communications for key business initiatives and changes, ensuring clarity, consistency, and strong employee connection
Play an active role in the production of Aviva Canada’s live broadcast programming, including supporting studio-based filming
Act as a trusted communications advisor, providing counsel and hands-on support across a range of priorities and projects
Work collaboratively across teams to build and reinforce a clear and consistent Aviva narrative
Partner with Group Communications to align on global initiatives and share best practices
Use data and insights to inform communications approaches and continuously improve effectiveness

What you’ll bring
Experience
5–7 years of communications experience, ideally in insurance, financial services, or a complex corporate environment
Experience partnering with senior leaders and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Skills
Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills across a range of formats and channels
Ability to translate complex topics into clear, engaging content
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
A practical, insight-led approach to communications
Strong planning, organization, and prioritization skills
Nice to have
Bilingualism (French)
Experience with multimedia or broadcast-style communications

What we offer
The salary band for this position ranges from $95,000 to $110,000. Please note that individual salary is determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience, as well as internal equity.
