Internal Communications Apprentice
Manchester-based with regular onsite presence (3–4 days per week)
Full Time, Permanent
ÂŁ20,000 per annum
Apprenticeship Duration: Typically 12 months
Training: Minimum of 20% off-the-job learning, including study days, workshops and online learning
We’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Internal Communications Apprentice to join our Group Communications and Responsible Business team.
As our Internal Communications Apprentice, you’ll play a key role in shaping how colleagues experience internal communications every day from the platforms they use, to how messages are delivered from leaders, to how engaging and accessible our channels feel.
You’ll work closely with senior leaders, take ownership of supporting our internal communication channels, explore new and innovative ways to reach colleagues, and help turn ideas into impactful communications that bring people together behind our Group strategy. Your work will make a meaningful difference to over 2,000 colleagues across the business.
đź’ˇ About the Role
In this role, you will:
Support and manage our internal communication channels, including SharePoint, Viva Engage, video and digital screens
Ensure content is published accurately, on time and through the most appropriate channels
Keep communication channels organised, user-friendly and visually consistent
Support the delivery of internal messages, campaigns and leadership communications
Design banners, posters and graphics using Canva (full training and support provided)
Contribute creative visuals that help bring campaigns and key messages to life
Create content to promote AI initiatives across the organisation
Measure the effectiveness of communication campaigns using data and through strong relationships with colleagues across the Group

Have an interest in (or experience using) digital tools such as SharePoint, Viva Engage and Canva
Are organised and able to manage tasks, priorities and deadlines effectively
Enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders across the business
Are curious about using data and feedback to continuously improve communication effectiveness
