Internal Communication Specialist (m/f/d), fixed-term for 2 years

We are looking for an Internal Communication Specialist to join our global Marketing and Communication team and support the delivery of internal activities across the organization.

In this operational and content-focused role, you will be responsible for creating, coordinating and publishing communication across a variety of channels, with the Walter intranet serving as a key platform for employee engagement and information sharing.

Working closely with colleagues, managers and subject matter experts worldwide, you will help ensure communication is clear, consistent, timely and aligned with business priorities.

Location

This position enjoys a flexible location and the potential for a hybrid working environment, with a preference for the United Kingdom or within Europe.

Your mission

Support employee engagement, awareness and strategic business success by delivering high-quality internal communication and helping to manage Walter's global digital communication channels.

Your key responsibilities

Internal communication delivery

• Create, edit and publish a variety of content across internal communication channels, including news articles, announcements, employee stories and leadership communications.
• Contribute ideas and recommendations to improve communication channels and processes to grow employee engagement.
• Support communication activities related to internal projects, strategic global initiatives and organizational changes.
• Help measure communication effectiveness through relevant reporting and feedback.

Intranet management and editorial coordination

• Support the day-to-day management and development of the Walter intranet to maintain content quality, structure and user experience.
• Act as a key contact for intranet-related topics across the Walter organization and within the Sandvik Group.
• Coordinate and support the global Walter intranet editor network by providing guidance, training and best-practice.
• Help drive governance, consistency and content standards across the platform.
• Monitor content performance, engagement analysis and recommend opportunities for improvement.

Project coordination

• Coordinate and deliver communication activities across a diverse range of concurrent projects.
• Develop and coordinate communication plans across multiple functions, divisions and regions within the organization.
• Support planning, scheduling and publishing activities to ensure communication is delivered effectively, on-time and in coordination with all functions and relevant Sandvik divisions.
• Align activities within the Walter Marketing and Communication team to ensure preparation and timing of content is coordinated across all channels.

Your profile

You are a highly organized communicator who enjoys creating content, coordinating activities and working with a wide range of stakeholders. You will ideally have:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Experience in internal communications, corporate communications, digital communications or a related field.
• Strong content creation, editing and proofreading skills.
• Experience managing or supporting intranet platforms and digital communication channels.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• A collaborative mindset and ability to build relationships across a global organization.
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 tools and digital communication platforms.
• An interest in leveraging new technologies and AI-enabled tools to improve communication processes.
