Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE

The Internal Auditor will play a critical role in assessing and strengthening the organization’s internal control environment, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, identifying risks, and supporting strategic initiatives. You will perform internal process audits across business functions, markets and industrial sites with focus on demand to cash, market to promote and procure to pay processes. The Internal Auditor will use her/his natural curiosity to drill-down on audited processes to identify risk and/or required upgrades and then drive recommendations in an operational way with the audited entity/ function.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Work collaboratively to support the execution of planned operational and compliance audits across different functions, affiliates and sites.
  • Contribute to audit preparation, fieldwork, and reporting activities for the audits included in the annual audit plan.
  • Interview key personnel to understand business processes and assess the design and effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Help prepare audit reports, including clearly written recommendations that effectively communicate identified issues and their related corrective actions to help auditees and senior management strengthen and improve operations.
  • Demonstrate and maintain an up-to-date understanding of audit practices and relevant industry developments.
  • Support the development of risk-based audit plans aligned with business priorities and the internal control framework.
  • Monitor and follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations and agreed corrective action plans.
  • Assist in planning activities to identify relevant risks and develop appropriate risk-based audit procedures.
  • Travel up to 20% of work time to support on-site fieldwork at affiliate offices and manufacturing sites.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED SKILLS

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Pharmacy, Engineering, Biology, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in internal or external audit, finance, or internal controls; or 2–5 years of relevant experience in an operational role (e.g., commercial, marketing, business operations and support, manufacturing, supply chain, medical or R&D) within the pharmaceutical or FMCG sector, combined with a strong motivation to develop in internal audit.
  • Financial experience within the pharma business, FMCG, or private equity is an advantage.
  • Strong command of English (C1 level).
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Experience with financial management systems (e.g., SAP) or similar tools is considered a plus.
  • Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to collect, structure, and interpret information accurately.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders in a matrix organization.
  • Ability to present complex information in a clear, concise, and professional manner.
  • Robust analytical capabilities, with strong attention to detail and accuracy in collecting, organizing, and assessing data.
  • Intercultural adaptability and professionalism when working in a multinational environment.
