Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute risk-based audits covering AML/CFT, financial crime, regulatory compliance, finance operations, revenue assurance, reconciliation, and other key business processes across Banglalink and new business verticals.

  • Assess compliance with Bangladesh Bank AML/CFT Guidelines, BFIU requirements, PSP regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies, procedures, and control frameworks.

  • Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of customer onboarding and due diligence controls, including KYC, e-KYC, CDD, KYE, customer risk classification, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, and suspicious transaction reporting processes.

  • Review the design and effectiveness of controls over revenue recognition, transaction processing, settlement, reconciliations, commission calculations, float management, regulatory reporting, and financial reporting processes.

  • Assess governance, risk management, internal control, and compliance frameworks across AML/CFT, finance, operations, and other critical business functions.

  • Perform transaction testing, thematic reviews, investigations, and data analytics to identify control weaknesses, unusual activities, financial irregularities, emerging risks, and potential compliance gaps.

  • Prepare audit reports, communicate findings and recommendations to management, and monitor the implementation of agreed action plans.

  • Support the development of the annual audit plan, audit universe, risk assessments, and special reviews relating to New Business Verticals, finance, AML/CFT, regulatory compliance, and operational risks.

Academic Qualification

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking, Economics, Business Administration, Information Systems or a related discipline.

Job Experience Required

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Internal Audit, AML/CFT Audit, Financial Crime Compliance, Finance Audit, Regulatory Compliance, Banking, MFS, PSP, FinTech, or other regulated financial institutions.

Required Capabilities

  • Sound knowledge of Bangladesh Bank AML/CFT Guidelines, BFIU requirements, financial controls, regulatory reporting, revenue assurance, reconciliation processes, and risk management frameworks.

  • Experience in conducting AML/CFT audits, finance audits, regulatory compliance reviews, or investigations within banks, MFS operators, PSPs, Fintechs, or other regulated financial institutions.

  • Strong analytical, investigation, data analysis, stakeholder management, and report-writing skills.

  • CAMS, CFE, CIA, CISA, CA, ACCA, CMA, or other relevant professional certifications will be considered a strong advantage.
