We are looking for an Internal Audit Manager to join our Mortgage and Finance Companies audit team in Nordea. The position will also include the role of Legal Entity Chief Internal Auditor for the Swedish subsidiary Nordea Hypotek.
Welcome to Group Internal Audit (GIA). We are an independent function supporting the Nordea Group Board and Group Executive Management in protecting the bank’s assets, reputation and sustainability.
Our GIA Mortgage and Finance Companies team is accountable for providing assurance for Nordea’s four mortgage companies and four finance companies through foresight and insight. We perform operational audits, covering all risk types and all processes related to the mortgage and finance companies. We also fill the Legal Entity Chief Internal Auditor positions of the mortgage and finance companies, with functional reporting lines to the Board of Directors of the entities. It is our responsibility to ensure that sufficient audit coverage is achieved and that any additional local regulatory needs, relating to internal audit, are met. We are a team of audit generalists located in Finland, Norway, Denmark and Sweden.

The role is based in Sweden. You will be reporting to the Head of Audit for the Mortgage and Finance Companies team. The role will not entail responsibility for managing staff.
This is the right role for you if you are proactive and have a structured way of working with an analytical mindset and a “can do” attitude and have a strong sense of ownership and accountability. You are able to interact with stakeholders on various levels – from auditees directly involved in the audited processes to senior management and board members. You excel in project management and can translate GIA’s broader strategy into your daily work. This includes embracing the increasing use of AI across the audit value chain and continuously developing professional capabilities required of future auditors.
