Job Description:

Duration/Hours:

June 7, 2027 – August 13, 2027

Pay rate is $25/hour for undergraduate student (Must be a rising junior or senior undergraduate student with an anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and May 2029)

Full-time; 37.5 hours per week

Based in Washington, DC, with an expectation to work onsite at least two days per week.

ABA’s Internship provides students with a paid opportunity to work with one of the biggest trade associations in Washington, DC. This extremely selective opportunity provides students with the opportunity to do substantial work in various divisions across ABA, connect with leadership, build a network, and make a difference.

The Workforce Excellence Intern will have the opportunity for a hands-on experience, engaging with bankers and creating materials and products.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative/program support for industry-wide Banker Open Committees (BOCs) and meetings --- taking notes, compiling resources and developing surveys for the Women Lead Symposium (virtual) and other Workforce Excellence programs.
  • Develop content and regular postings for the Workforce Excellence Exchanges to help drive member engagement.
  • Research and assist with the creation of presentations, materials and workshops for our Women Lead Workshops program and other Workforce Excellence Programs.
  • Research and identify speakers for ABA conferences and Workforce Excellence meetings/events.
  • Research and compile resources on workforce development and relevant industry topics in support of ABA Workforce Excellence programs and initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

  • Strong research, writing, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with Zoom or other video meeting platforms.
  • Strong desire to learn, grow, and work collaboratively with people representing a variety of experiences and perspectives.
  • Knowledge and demonstrated interest in workforce development programs and strategies, leadership development, and inclusive management practices preferred.

Minimum Education Requirements

  • Must be a rising junior or senior undergraduate student at an accredited university with an anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and May 2029.

  • Culture, Communications, HR, Sociology, Political Science, Business

Salary Band Range:

$15.00 - $37.50 - $60.00
