Intern - Textile Engineering

We are on the lookout for a passionate and dedicated individual to fill this role within our Materials Centre of Excellence team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Materials Research & Innovation: Conduct research on textiles and materials identifying new innovations and properties relevant to our products.
• Experimental Trials & Prototyping: Plan and execute hands-on trials and experiments for new materials, documenting all findings to support the development of prototypes.
• Knowledge Development: Conduct missing knowledge analysis relevant to the projects.
• Collaboration & Communication: Work effectively with cross-functional teams to align material selections with project goals, and clearly communicate research findings through presentations and reports.
• Supplier Engagement: Assist in connecting with and evaluating potential suppliers and partners to source and test new and existing materials.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Textile Technology, Textile Engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of textile materials, processes, and applications is an advantage.
• Demonstrates strong curiosity, a hands-on mindset, and a willingness to explore and test new ideas.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Strong analytical skills, with structured thinking and effective communication abilities.
• Ability to work efficiently in ambiguous and evolving environments.
• Proven involvement in student societies or organizations, demonstrating teamwork, initiative, and leadership potential.
