Boeing Global Technology - Europe is seeking a Systems Safety Engineering Intern to support our team in Madrid, Spain This internship offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers supporting safety and security-related engineering activities within a digital engineering environment.

As an intern, you will assist with the development, deployment, and execution of system safety analysis, product security analysis, and model-based engineering solutions. You will gain exposure to the methods, tools, and practices used to help ensure safe, secure, and reliable aerospace systems.

This role is a great opportunity for a student who is eager to learn, collaborate, and contribute to meaningful engineering work that supports Boeing programs. Candidates should be dependable, curious, and willing to take initiative while building technical and professional skills.

Exposure to topics such as 25.1309, ARP-4754, ARP-4761, DO-326/DO-356, safety analysis, product security analysis, or hazard assessments is a plus, but not required.

  • Contract duration – 6 months

Position Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and development activities in the area of systems safety, with emphasis in Model Based Safety Analysis (MBSA) methods and tools

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Student status

  • Experience or strong interest in Python and/or Matlab.

  • Knowledge of GUI development, data visualization, or software tool development

  • Fluent in both verbal and written English

  • Must be legally able to work in Spain

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Interest in systems engineering tools and processes such as SysML or Cameo Systems Modeler

  • Background in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar

  • Exposure to aircraft systems architecture or safety processes such as ARP4754B and ARP4761A is a plus

  • Intrinsic aptitude for taking initiative

  • Ability to take ownership of work activities

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse engineering team
