Intern – Sourcing & Supply Chain

(Based at Silueta, Biyagama)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Procure Raw Material in the right quantity, material, price, time to ensure availability in accordance with the production plan
• Managing end-to-end procurement activities, including forecasting, order follow-up and supplier payment on time
• Coordinate with internal departments (production, planning, merchandising, quality & finance) to ensure timely availability of materials
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock management to avoid shortages or excess
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers
• Track and analyze supply chain performance metrics (cost, delivery timelines, quality) and identify areas for improvements
• Coordinate logistics and shipment processes, including import/ export documentation where required
• Identify cost saving opportunities and implement efficient procurement strategies

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Pursuing degree or recently graduated in supply chain management or related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good English communication (written and verbal).
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
