About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and curious intern to join our SmartSense team, working on innovative medical monitoring solutions and long term care.
SmartSense helps healthcare staff monitor patients using sensors, alerts, and intuitive dashboards. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience in both software development and testing, while working on a real product used in healthcare environments.
You will collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and hardware teams, learning how software integrates with sensors and patient monitoring systems.
What You Will Do
Software Development
- Help build and improve features in our applications
- Work with technologies like React, C#, Python and SQL
- Develop user interface components and dashboards
- Fix bugs and improve application performance
- Participate in team discussions and code reviews
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Create and run test cases (manual or automated)
- Validate new features and bug fixes
- Report issues and help track them to resolution
- Ensure the application works correctly with sensor data and alerts
- Learn how quality is maintained in a real product
What We’re Looking For
Technical Skills
- Basic knowledge of programming (any language)
- Basic understanding of how applications are built
- Familiarity with Git is a plus
Education
- Student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, or related field
Soft Skills
- Eagerness to learn and take initiative
- Problem-solving mindset
- Attention to detail
- Good communication and teamwork
Nice to Have
- Some basic knowledge of Python or .Net
- Interest in healthcare or medical technology
- Familiarity with APIs or web technologies (HTML, CSS)
