Job Description

Summary

Apple's Software Localization & Release Engineering team makes sure our software works well for people in every language and region. We build automated tests that run across many languages on all Apple platforms, so problems get caught before our users see them.

Description

You'll work alongside automation, quality and localization engineers. Your work will help Apple ship better software to people around the world.

The role covers backend services and agent logic as well as UI test automation

Write and maintain automated UI tests in Swift for iOS and macOS, with localization in mind.

Extend the AI-driven automation service. For example, teach it new device interactions, improve how it presents results, or test and tune how the model behaves.

Measure the impact of your work, such as reliability, bugs found and speed.

You'll own a defined project from start to finish and see it run on real devices. You'll be mentored by experienced engineers, work in cross functional, fast-moving team, and collaborate with colleagues around the world.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience building an iOS or macOS app, including personal or course projects, and familiarity with Xcode.

Exposure to XCTest or another UI testing framework.

Hands-on experience with LLMs, such as writing prompts, building simple agents or evaluating model output.

Basic familiarity with CI/CD.

Interest in localization or internationalization, or fluency in a language other than English.

Experience with Python or React, which is useful for the testing service.

Minimum Qualifications

Programming experience in Swift, or in a language like Python.

Solid fundamentals in data structures, debugging and Git.

Curiosity about software quality and about how products behave across languages and regions.

Strong written and spoken English, for working with international teammates.
