Job Description

As an intern in the Environment & Social Performance department at Gas & Maritime Business, you will play a crucial role in implementing and developing social performance strategies. Your work will contribute to PETRONAS Gas Business overall social responsibility and sustainability goals, ensuring the company's positive impact on communities and the environment.

• Assist in implementing social performance technology strategies and roadmaps.
• Identify and address social risks and impacts, ensuring PETRONAS' social license to operate.
• Provide technical guidance and solutions to specific social performance issues.
• Participate in the development and review of technical capability development tools and training modules.
• Engage in social performance coaching and competency assessments for team members.
• Network with industry experts to stay updated on best practices and innovations.
• Attend and contribute to Community of Practice (CoP) and Improvement Working Group (IWG) meetings.
• Assist in capturing and sharing lessons learned from operational improvement initiatives.
• Support the tracking and monitoring of social performance technical implementation.
• Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment, fostering collaboration.

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Social Sciences, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
• Strong interest in social performance, sustainability, and corporate social responsibility.
• Basic understanding of social impact assessment and management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with social performance software or tools is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Passion for continuous learning and a willingness to take on new challenges.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
